This keeps the nylons from getting runs and also removes odor. I prefer apple vinegar, but both work.

Garbage dumpster

Years ago carrying the laundry basket became a problem for me and I bought a garbage can on wheels and use that for dirty clothes. Makes it so easy to get it to the laundry room.

Protect glass nesting bowls

My glass baking bowls and serving bowls nest inside one another on a slide-out shelf. I cringed when I heard my husband or kids slide that shelf in and out... CRAASSH! Now I use paper towels to cushion each bowl in the stack. No more chips or cracks!

Sifting Flour

When you suffer with painful hands and wrists, the best way to sift flour is to use a small strainer. Just skake it or bump it against the side of your bowl, and it will sift flour quickly without having to try and grasp and squeeze the small handle.

Bar-B-Q EZ Clean

To easily clean your barbque grill grates, toss them in your self cleaning oven. No more wet plastics when it is time to put them away, and it saves energy too.

Cool, Dry and Great Smelling Feet

Save money by making your own replacement shoe insoles. Remove the insole from both shoes. Put together two sheets of SCOTT Shop Towels on a Roll, fold in half, crease and tape the sheets together. Trace one insole on the top sheet, cut out the shape from all the sheets and tape them together at the top. Sprinkle talcum powder, baby powder or foot powder on each sheet, then tape your newly made insole to the original insole. Repeat for the other foot. Carefully replace the insole in your shoes. My SCOTT insoles last about three wearings, but what a difference they have made for my tender feet. Making insoles is a good rainy day project and is so inexpensive!
