I save about 15%-20% on groceries by shopping every OTHER week. I went from spending $110/week to about $170 every 2 weeks. And since more & more coupons are money off of purchases of 2 items, I can use more coupons.

If you have a mosquito or spider bite, rub a wet bar of soap directly on the spot. The itch will vanish, and the swelling should soon disappear.

When opening a new bar of soap, keep the wrapper and tuck it into drawers or closets cabinets to keep the contents smelling fresh. You can also place a soap wrapper in your gym bag, to avoid that stale smell. Scented dryer sheets can be used too.

Put a scented dryer sheet in your shoes at the end of the day. It'll help counteract foot odor.

Don't toss your old plastic garbage can when you can use it as a bird feeder! Cut off the bottom few inches of the can, make holes on either side, and tie a string through the holes. You can hang it in a tree or on a clothing pole and fill it with bird seed.

Make sure you totally hear a person out before making a comment or remark. Many times people will be more honest and open about how they feel and solve their own problems.

I use petroleum jelly to keep my sliding door tracks lubricated, as well as my car door lock and many other things. Then I use SCOTT Towels for clean-up.

Save the plastic clips from bread bags and keep them near the sink. These free helpers are perfect for scraping burned or stuck food -- because they are plastic, they won't scratch glass, plastic or nonstick-coated items.

Being that black and other dark colors are in everyones wardrobe, it stinks when you put on your shirt and look down at the deoderant marks left on it. Easiest way to get out - rub the material together and it gets it out instantly!

When cutting up food for a toddler, use a pizza cutter. It's great for everything from taking crust off toast to cutting up spaghetti. Also, moisten a Scott paper towel and fold to fit under toddler's bowl or plate to keep it from slipping.

I use Scrubbing Bubbles and SCOTT® Towels to clean everything in the bathroom and kitchen. I even use it on the vinyl flooring (spot check first). It's great for playpens and highchairs. (Don't forget to rinse well.)

Planning a menu for the week based on store sales can save a lot of money. I have fed a family of four for as little as $30 a week! In addition to planning menus, I also buy the larger bottles or jars of condiments.
