Clean and Bright Shower Curtain

Before hanging a new shower curtain, spray the whole side that's inside the tub with non-stick cooking spray. The curtain stays clean and nerver shows any kind of mold or dirt. And it stays soft until you decide to replace it.

A Great SCOTT Towel Product

There is a little known SCOTT Towel product that you can find in the large discount stores; usually in the automotive department. Ladies (any guys), please look for SCOTT Shop Towels on a Roll. They are durable, GREAT for cleaning house, cleaning appliances (underneath and inside), sweeping and mopping floors, and polishing and waxing furniture. They are a pretty blue color AND can be washed and reused. I love these towels, and compared with the disposable towels you buy for those new dust mops, they are a huge savings.

Peel Potatoes Using SCOTT Towels

Boil potatoes with the skin on. When done, drain. Fold a SCOTT Towel in half and pick up a hot potato. Gently rub the potato back and forth and the skin comes right off. Shake the potato skin off and reuse the towel. It saves time and clean up. When finished, just discard the towel or, better yet, go green and place the towel and the peelings into a compost pile for next spring's gardening.

Dated Furnace Filter

When I change out my furnace filter, I write the date on the edge facing out. Then there is never a question as to how long it has been between changes. I also keep a magiic marker near the furnace for that purpose!

Remove Gum from a Dryer

Oh, dear! Gum left in a pocket in the laundry? Spray the mess with laundry spot cleaner and set the dryer on heat for 10 minutes. Then use an old sock or washcloth to remove the semi soft gum. It works perfectly!

Dish Washing

I use a clean SCOTT towel each time I wash dishes. Then, when I am finished, I toss it. This way there is never a sour, dirty dishrag hanging around.
