Carrying your prescriptions abroad

You must have your medicines identifiable in traveling. Save one set of old prescription bottles and fill with amount of medications you will need to take while traveling. No need to carry full bottles of pills.

Partial Toilet Paper Roll

When going to a public beach or National Park always bring along a flattened partial toilet paper roll for your purse or pocket...these places often have none...I found out after a recent trip!

Requesting an airline blanket

Be sure to request an airline blanket as soon as you board the plane....many airline seats are just awful...and your tush is numb after 5 hours of flight.... Leave the blanket in its bag folded and use as a seat cushion....A life saver!

Laundry bags

Add a couple folded plastic bags to your suit case when traveling..these can be used for dirty laundry until your return or until you can get to a laundry!

Traveling thru toll roads

Don't forget when traveling out of state,that many contain toll roads...be sure to pack a roll of quarters for the toll booths.

2 suitcases in 1

I knew I was only allowed 1 FREE checked bag when I departed the U.S. and 2 FREE checked bags on the way back. So I packed a soft-sided suitcase into my hard-sided suitcase along with my clothes and things. When I arrived in Europe, I took out the 2nd bag and had plenty of room for souvenirs! This is great, since I'm a chronic overpacker and now I had so much room when I returned home! Just be sure to stay within the weight limits. I had to put some items in my carry-on bag, which also sometimes has a weight limit. The airline weighed my messenger bag!
