Microwave a Paper Towel

I just keep a paper towel — SCOTT, of course — in the microwave at all times. When something occasionally boils over, it's right there to minimize the clean up. It may be used many times before I need to replace it.

Lunch Quick Wipe

Fold a SCOTT paper towel into fourths, add an ice cube, and seal it into a plastic sandwich bag. Add this to your lunch bag to keep the food cool. By lunch time the ice cube will have melted and you have a moistened towel for quick, easy lunch clean up. Toss your lunch debris into the plastic bag before discarding.

Whiter Whites

I use 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of peroxide in my laundry to whiten all of my whites. It does not yellow like bleach and helps to deodorize socks! You will never have whiter whites or such a clean washing machine.

Date It

Put a strip of masking tape over the top of a jar or box of food you open, and then write the date on it. Now you know when you opened it and how old it is, so there's no guessing whether to keep it or throw it away.

Soda to So Much!

People drink a lot of canned soda! If you live in a state or near a state that refunds you for recycling cans, take advantage of that opportunity. It can add up! It may take time at only 5 cents per can, but think of what you could do with that little bit of cash?

Save Time Cleaning Fridge

To save time cleaning the fridge, place Scott paper towels inside the bottom of the door shelves. When it's time to clean or when something leaks or spills, just change out the paper towel. It helps keep you from having to scrub shelves.

Pet Comfort

Dishwashing liquid can be used to bathe dogs (and cats, if yours will let you) to repel fleas. It is cheaper than flea dip or shampoo!
