Avoiding watery eyes

To prevent eyes from watering when peeling, cutting or chopping onions, submerge the onions in water while you work on them (i.e., keep cut them submerged in a bowl of water, etc.). This really does work and keeps the smell off your hands, too!

Soda Pop

To stop a head from forming in your glass when pouring a glass of pop with ice ...rinse the ice first and no more head at the top of your glass.

Baking Soda

I soak my fruits and vegetables in a bowl of cold water with 1-2 tbsp of baking soda and leave produce soaking for 10-15 minutes and then just rinse. Baking soda is not harmful and takes the pesticides off the fruits and veggies.

Scrub No More

I line the shelves in the door of my fridge so the cans do not leave black marks. In case of any spills, I just replace the SCOTT® paper towel.

Don't forget your coupons

I was always forgetting my coupons when I would go to the store, then I tried this and it's been working like a charm. If you take an envelope and tape it to your front door and write on the outside COUPONS and you put your coupons in it then every time you are ready to leave the house you are more likely to remember to take them with you.

Stop using plastic wrap in your microwave

I have heard using plastic wrap is unhealthy when heating up food in the microwave. I use Scott Paper Towels by placing a couple sheets over the plate to avoid splatter.

More Uses for Dryer Sheets

Cut each used dryer sheet in half or even quarters and use with nail polish remover to remove nail polish. They foam up and work very quickly. You can also use them to wipe under rim of toilet bowl to instantly remove residue.
