Septic Tank Clog

We used other toilet papers in the past and found that they clogged up our septic tank quicker so it had to be pumped more often, but since using Scott Toilet Paper, which is the ONLY brand we use now, our septic tank has not had to be pumped as often and has not clogged up.

Rice and Vinegar

If your vase is stained, put vinegar in the vase until half way full. Put a hand full of rice and cover the top. Shake the vase and let it soak for 5 minutes. The rice scrubs the vase and cleans it!

Plumbers Hate This...

If your pan has a bit of grease left in it, rather than wash it down the drain, wipe it out with a SCOTT Towel and toss the towel. No plugged up sinks!

Tape It

If you don't have a lint brush or roller for your clothes, use tape! It does the same thing as the lint brush or roller. Wide packing tape works the best. All you have to do is take off a fairly large piece of tape and tape the ends together. Roll with your hands across your clothes, and it will pick up anything that's there. It really works well for pet hair, especially on black or dark-colored clothes.

Lunch Box Ice

I found really cool Lunch Box Ice at Amazon.com. These ice packs come in fun colors and in different sizes. They're great for keeping lunches cool and fresh, and my kids love them.

Clean Dishes

When running a load of dishes in your dishwasher, add about a cup full of vinegar at the start. It keeps you from having water spots and it does not cause any damage to you dishwasher. Your dishes come out clean and spot free.

Get Rid of Cat Hair

Cat hair is one of the hardest things to get off area rugs. I used to sweep them with a broom before vacuuming, but it still wasn't satisfactory. I finally found that using a wire pet brush works best, especially the type sold in pet stores that lets you retract the bristles so the matted hair pulls off easily.
