Fighting germs

After leaving the supermarket, or any other store for that matter, I use the antibacterial hand cleaner I keep in my car console. I use an extra bit to wipe down the steering wheel, door handle, buttons on the dash I use, etc. I wash my gallon milk jugs before putting them in the fridge also.

Hate shredded tissues in washing machine

Mother taught me this years ago - did you know that Scott tissues are the only tissues that survive the washing machine without shredding into tiny bits all over your clean laundry? They are the only tisuues I buy, because I know they will come out in one piece if someone leaves one in a pocket and it goes through the wash undiscovered!

Save those nickels and singles

I save all of my quarters and single dollar bills and its amazing how fast they add up to an amount I can use for a project in my home. For example, after about 7 months I have enough to have carpeting put in my two rooms and a hallway upstairs!

Ink Removal

To get rid of ink marks on your clothing, simply spray the area well with any inexpensive hairspray (pump bottle gives you a more direct spray than aerosol) and wipe with an old wash cloth or towel. You may have to repeat the process again, but it will take the ink out.

Organize Your Hair Ties

To better organize my daughters' scrunchies and elastic bands, I put them on a paper towel roll. This way I can pull them out of the drawer fast and organize them according to color.

Keep Your Herbs Fresh!

When you buy cilantro or parsley at the grocery store, make sure you wrap it in sheets of SCOTT® Towels and return it to the plastic bag before you place it in your refrigerator. It will keep your cilantro or parsley fresh so it will last longer.

SCOTT in the Bathroom

I put a SCOTT® Towel roll dispenser in my bathroom. It's great for when I have cookouts or get-togethers, because everyone isn't sharing germs by using the same cloth towel.

Skimming Fat from Soup Stock

If you do not have time to chill a soup or stock to remove excess fat floating on top, simply take a SCOTT® Towel and let it float on top to absorb grease. Repeat as needed. It saves time, reduces fat content and makes a healthier broth.
