Holder for Hair things

Any woman or anyone with a daughter knows that hair accessories can get unorganized fast. We've put them in small plastic drawers, which worked, but we found a better way: Take an old Scott toilet paper or paper towel core (cardboard middle) and wrap hair ties around it. You can also put hair clips & bobby pins etc. on the ends. Two glued together make a good headband holder. They can be plain and under the counter or can be decorated (wrapped in decrotive cloth, painted, etc.) and put a base on for sitting upright on a counter or mounting on a wall. Makes a good gift idea as well, decorate to the girls taste & fill up with hair items from a dollar store!

Keeping Lettuce Fresh

Whatever kind of lettuce you purchase: iceberg, romaine, red or green leaf, when you get it home immediately rip off large leaves and submerge in a large bowl of ice water for about 20 minutes. Remove lettuce and let dry on SCOTT® Towels for about 15 minutes. Here's the helpful tip: Lay your roll of SCOTT® Towels on the counter and start to roll it out about 12 inches or so; lay some lettuce leaves on the paper towels, fold paper towel over the top of the leaves and add another layer of lettuce. Continue until done. Put wrapped leaves in a plastic bag and refrigerate!
