Food stuck to a pan after cooking? Add enough water to fill the bottom about one-inch deep. Put it on the burner and boil for a few minutes, keeping an eye on it. Let it cool, and the baked-on mess should come right off your pan! This works if you burn something to a pan too.
I make breakfast in advance for quick reheating with no dishes to wash. English muffins with ham, egg and cheese are always a big hit, and can be served on a Scott paper towel to save on clean-up!
Switch to rechargeable batteries for alarm clocks, remotes, and small appliances.
When you put your clean linens on your bed, take a couple extra minutes to pin together the top of the sheets, blankets and comforter. (Use big safety pins you can find in either the sewing section or craft section, like old diaper pins.) It only takes about 4, spaced apart. In the morning before you leave, it takes just a couple of pulls and toss on the pillows. This works really great with kids and husbands!
I recently made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich using a 3-ounce disposable bathroom cup, (plastic or paper will do) to combine the mixture. It is the perfect size for one sandwich and theres NO mess to clean up... just throw away the cup.
To defrost meat super fast, place it in a plastic bag and set it on your porcelain sink. The meat needs to be touching the porcelain. It will thaw out in no time!
Need a warm place for your dough to rise? Use your household heating pad covered with a towel. Turn it on, place your bowl covered with waxed paper and a towel, and see how perfectly your dough rises. (Make sure you check on it frequently to make sure it isn't overheating.)
When you have a recipe printed on a full-size sheet of paper, insert the paper into the side glass holders of the dish drying tray. This holds the paper perfectly straight so the recipe can be read easily.
