Checking the Oil in My Car

I hung a roll of paper towels in the front of the garage. When checking the oil in the car, it is so easy to just tear off a towel and toss it in the trash when finished rather than searching for a rag.

Easy Shoveling

When the first snowstorm comes, spray some WD-40 penetrating oil spray on your shovel. It'll make shoveling a breeze by preventing snow from sticking to the shovel.

No Stick Here

When replacing an inspection or registration sticker on your car's windshield, just wipe the edges of the old sticker with oil (olive, veggie, etc.), let it sit for a minute, then peel away. Clean the window with a little Windex and you're ready to put your new sticker on a nice, clean window.

Bed Sheets

After drying my sheets, I put both sheets and one pillowcase in the other pillow case. Fold neatly in a square. Next time I change sheets, I just take the one pillow case and all the sheets and pillow case are inside. No need to look for matches.

Saving Tomato Seeds

If I have fresh tomato seeds I want to save until next year, I simply spread out a SCOTT Towel, collect the seeds with a spoon and spread them out on the paper towel. I lay another towel on top, press well and lay the towels on top of my refrigerator to dry. Come next spring, I simply lay the towels on top of some good rooting soil, cover lightly with soil, and water until moist. When they have their second set of leaves, I plant them in individual pots.

Antique Cars

We have several antique cars that we take to car shows. We keep a roll of SCOTT towels in each of them to freshen them up every morning after the dew. They are even soft enough for that. Fast and easy too!

Removing Wallpaper

To remove wallpaper and border mix half water half fabric softner in a spray bottle. Spray on generously, and let sit for a few minutes. Use plastic or metal scraper and it will peel off the wall like magic, and make your house smell fresh.

Defrosting with Cooking Spray

After defrosting your freezer or refrigerator, spray the coils with a vegetable cooking spray. Next time defrosting will be twice as fast and neat.
