Fast Deck Staining

To stain deck railings quickly and easily, use rubber gloves and put on 2 pairs of old socks over them. Then, just dip your hands into the stain, squeeze out the excess stain and rub your "hands" over the spindles. It's much faster than using a paint brush!

Saving Tomato Seeds

If I have fresh tomato seeds I want to save until next year, I simply spread out a SCOTT Towel, collect the seeds with a spoon and spread them out on the paper towel. I lay another towel on top, press well and lay the towels on top of my refrigerator to dry. Come next spring, I simply lay the towels on top of some good rooting soil, cover lightly with soil, and water until moist. When they have their second set of leaves, I plant them in individual pots.

Garbage Tip

Every time you empty a waste basket in bedrooms and bath or the garbage bin in the kitchen, put 2-3 new ones at the bottom of the container. This way you don't have to go looking for another bag whenever you need one.
