Don't leave the house without it!

My husband has some items he MUST bring to work each day. To help remind him I lock the storm door and put a post it note on it, listing the items he must bring that day. For example: Payroll, beeper, cellphone, work keys, money for lunch etc.

Address Books Update/Create

At Christmas season, I save all the envelopes and then carefully cut out return address (labels) and then transfer them to my address book! The labels are generally much easier to read than my own handwriting and will be the most current info!

Cards for the Whole Year

I make one "card shopping trip" to a dollar store or other card store. I buy birthday, Thank you, Sympathy,and Christmas cards for the whole year. Then, I store the cards in a card storage box.

Time saving cookies

Stay sane during the holiday rush. Bake your cut-out cookies in advance & freeze with waxed paper between. Decorate after thawing & serve up a big time and sanity savings.

Make Cookies Early

Most oookie dough can be frozen up to a month without it going bad...make up your favorites now (before the holiday rush)and freeze them to use later this month.

Juicy Ice

Pour your juice or punch into ice cube trays and freeze. Use instead of regular ice, they keep the juice cold without getting watered down. Great for buffets and holiday parties.

Keep a cucumber fresh

Here's a way to keep a cucumber fresh up to 2 weeks after you start using it. Wrap a paper towel around the cucumber but dont cover cut end. Then put in any plastic bag. I have had success keeping one for 2 weeks.

Holiday Thank You Cards

Buy thank you Cards in advance. Together, write a family newsletter to enclose and address many of the envelopes early. On Christmas morning, write gift on the left side of the card, when all gifts are opened, add a note, attach letter and mail.
