Save Christmas card envelopes

When I receive Christmas cards I save the return address from the sender. When I mail them a Christmas card, I use their address label.

Time saving cookies

Make Cookies Early

Most oookie dough can be frozen up to a month without it going bad...make up your favorites now (before the holiday rush)and freeze them to use later this month.

Holiday Decorating

Before I start decorating for the holidays, I always plug in my glue gun because inevitably something will need to be refastened. It's handy for creating decorations as you work or replacing bows and ornaments on wreaths. You save time by fixing things immediately and being able to place them where you want right away instead of putting them aside for "later."

Address Books Update/Create

At Christmas season, I save all the envelopes and then carefully cut out return address (labels) and then transfer them to my address book! The labels are generally much easier to read than my own handwriting and will be the most current info!

Cards for the Whole Year

I make one "card shopping trip" to a dollar store or other card store. I buy birthday, Thank you, Sympathy,and Christmas cards for the whole year. Then, I store the cards in a card storage box.

Make Extra Cookies

When making cookies, always make an extra batch. Take the extra dough, roll it into a log shape, wrap it in plastic wrap and freeze for the next time you need cookies. Then all you have to do is take the extra batch out of the freezer, slice it up and bake.
