Use paper clips for ornament hooks

When you run out or loose ornament hooks or hangers, use a paper clip. Open the paper clip up, and hook one end to the ornament and the other to the tree branch. Saves running to the busy stores during the holiday season.

Christmas Outdoor Lights

When hanging outdoor Christmas lights...use a staple gun with the wire guide...It is a snap hanging lights and when done just remove the staples...

Digital Camera Reminder

Before each holiday, I always place a reminder on my computer calendar to pack my digital camera in my purse along with a couple extra batteries. When I get to an event I have my camera and extra batteries at hand.

Don't leave the house without it!

My husband has some items he MUST bring to work each day. To help remind him I lock the storm door and put a post it note on it, listing the items he must bring that day. For example: Payroll, beeper, cellphone, work keys, money for lunch etc.

Buying PJs for the Little Ones

My sister-in-law started this with her girls. We get together every Chrismas Eve with my family. Each year, she brings a gift of pajamas for her girls. That way when they leave to go home to wait for Santa, they are already in their pj's. The whole family does it now. All the kids think it's pretty cool. They can't wait to see what kind fo pj's they are getting.

Family Ornament Exchange

For years, the women in our family (and extended family) have been exchanging ornaments with each other on Thanksgiving Day. Originally theses were homemade, though throughout the years we've "customized" them by purchasing just about anything we see throughout the year that reflects "us." It's simple to turn a small trinket into an ornament and personalize it with a glue gun and a glitter pen. Taking out our ornaments each year brings back MANY, MANY fond Thanksgiving memories.
