left over containers

I save the butter tubs and then have them to give to single neighbors and some friends that live alone and never have to worry about getting my containers back. That size is just great for small servings for one.

Mint Brownies

For a cool brownie treat, make brownies as directed. Melt chocolate mint patties in double broiler and pour over warm brownies.. Let set for a wonderful minty frosting.

To really make scrambled eggs or omelettes rich add a couple of spoonfuls of sour cream, cream cheese, or heavy cream in and then beat them up.

Save the Cheese

Store your opened chunks of cheese in aluminum foil. It will stay fresh much longer and not mold!

Herbs/Seasonings

Every week or so I put a bunch of cilantro, 1 large onion and green pepper, 6 cloves garlic, 1/4 cup virgin olive oil and same of water in the blender until creamy. I store in refrigerator and add to soups, ground beef, beans, stews, etc. It saves time and adds lots of flavor.

Warm Refrigerator Pie Crusts

When I forget to get refrigerator pie crusts out to warm at room temperature, I place them on a Scott® Towel and put them in the microwave about 15 seconds. They unroll without breaking apart.

Easy Greasing a Baking Pan

When I fry french fries, I usually use a couple of SCOTT® towels to hold excess oil. Then I transfer them to a dish and serve them. Rather than tossing the towels, I fold and place them neatly into a sandwich bag and into the fridge. When I get ready to bake, I fold down the side exposing the SCOTT® paper towels, wipe around the pan, giving all sides a good coating of oil then add flour if necessary. My hands stay clean and I’m not cleaning under nails with shortening and didn’t waste my oil.

Trash Bowl

I like how Rachael Ray always puts everything that she is going to trash in the bowl. I do that but now I put a bag in the bowl and it makes for easier clean up.
