Dropped Something?

If you dropped a tiny screw, a bead, a diamond from your ring, put a clean vacuum bag in and vacuum over the area, open the bag and voila!

Save Time Doing Laundry

At night, I leave the washing machine soaking with whites or my husband's work clothes. In the morning, I get up and turn machine on. By the time I leave for work, I switch the clothes to the dryer. When I get home, I just turn the machine on for about 5 minutes and am ready to fold. No waiting!

Oil Rim

When you are boiling water, dab your finger in oil and put it on the rim of the pot. The oil will keep the water from over flowing and you won't have to clean up the water and dried bubbles that overflow onto your stove!!

Making Beds

If you have fitted sheets with elastic all around, put a safety pin in one corner so it's easier to find the top of the sheet.

No Mess!

When measuring out anything that sticks to your measuring cup, use a sandwich baggie. Just open and mold a sandwich baggie over the measuring cup. No sloppy clean up needed. Just discard the baggie after using it.

Socks

When I'm doing laundry, I put my infant's dirty socks in a lingerie bag. They don't get caught under my front load washer's rubber seal, and they're all together for matching.

How to Dry Clothes Fast

Have you ever realized that you forgot to put your clothes in the dryer and you need dry clothes now? No problem. Put the wet clothes that you need right away in the dryer with a couple of dry towels and run on high for about 10 minutes. The towels soak up a lot of the wetness and the dryer dries the items in a jiffy!!

Bath Time

When I fold my laundry, I fold my towels with two folds (widthwise), then place a washcloth inside and roll the washcloth up in the towel. This way, when my family goes to the shower, they have both with them instead of yelling 15 minutes later, "Can you get me a towel?" or "I forgot my washcloth."
