Laundry

When I buy new socks, before I put them away, I pin the pairs together. When the kids and my husband go to put the dirty socks in the hamper after they have worn them, they pin them back together. This keeps them together, and I don't have to sort after drying. It saves me a lot of time, and the kids don't mind helping.

Easy Dusting

Old socks are perfect for dusting. They fit your hands and go everywhere! Spray on a little Old English Polish and off you go! Wash the socks with your other old cleaning rags, and you're ready to go again.

Dusty, Dirty Baseboards

When you start your spring cleaning and decide to dust the base boards/floorboards, wear an old pair of socks. You can use your feet to clean the the base boards. When you are done, just toss them in the washer. This is very helpful if you have a difficult time kneeling or getting up off the floor. It is also good exercise for you legs.

Drying The Dog

When your dog comes in out of the rain, use SCOTT® Towels to dry him or her instead of using cloth towels. After you've finished, just toss the towel into the trash can. There's no need to store dirty towels and you save time and energy by not washing numerous extra towels each week.

Scrubbing the Shower

Save time and your back when scrubbing your shower by buying a "poufy" scrubber (like you'd use with liquid body gel) with a handle. Use it for your back, then when it's ready to retire, recycle it for scrubbing the shower. It will really save your back when reaching for high or low spots when you scrub.

Family Laundry

When sorting laundry, I create a basket for each child and then a combo one for my husband and myself. Once separated, I wash them that way, so when I fold it's not about sorting what goes to each room and dresser. The whole basket goes right to 'her' room or 'his' room to be put away.

Ironing

I keep a small pair of scissors (even a child's pair will work) on my ironing board, which makes it handy to cut small threads before ironing the garmet. You don't have to stop & find something to cut the loose thread.
