I live in rural SW Florida. Twice a year, we're plagued by these flying critters called "love bugs." During the months of May and October, these bugs make their debut. Travel ANY roadway, and your windshield becomes virtual bug soup! These pesky critters totally obliterate your visibility. I ALWAYS keep at least 1 Mega Roll of SCOTT Towels in my trunk along with a GOOD bug remover.
Don't you hate when cooking oil drips down the bottle after each use, and you're left with a sticky, greasy residue on the bottle and shelf? You can easily avoid this by placing a folded SCOTT Towel around the bottom and then placing it in a plastic sandwich bag. To stop drips from the top, fold another SCOTT Towel and rubber band it around the cap. You'll appreciate the oil in your cooking and not everywhere else!!
Remove the cooled cooking rack from your grill and lay it upside-down in the grass overnight. The enzymes from the grass eat away & soften the cooked-on food. The next morning, scrub it with a stiff brush and diluted dishwasher soap. The burned-on food comes right off.
When I make something with the mixer that tends to spray all over the counter, I put the bowl in my sink to do the mixing. It sprays in my sink and not all over the kitchen. Then I take my sink sprayer, and zap....it's down the drain!
I keep a roll of SCOTT Tissue in the kitchen that I use to wipe food off of dishes before they go into the dishwasher, clean out the remnants of the animals food dishes, etc. I also use it for smaller spills that using a paper towel would just be wasteful for. You'd be surprised how many things you could use TP for and save some money in the process. (A roll lasts me at least 3 weeks!)
To clean you hummingbird feeder at end of season, put bleach and water into a large bowl and place the feeder parts in the bowl and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse well and it will be totally clean and ready for next year.
Keep a couple of SCOTT Towels in your pocket or pocketbook for unexpected messes. Just wipe away and throw away.
Keeping a roll of SCOTT Towels in your automobile is great for those occasional spills that occur, e.g., coffee spills or spills by children when eating fast foods in the automobile. It also aids in cleaning the windows inside and outside from pollution and bird/tree droppings.
