Dryer Sheets and My Pet

Dryer sheets are good for a lot more than clothes. I like to put a couple dryer sheets under Sugar's puppy pad and one or two around it, and this makes everything smell terrific. Sugar also likes the wonderful smell. Caution-this may not be good for puppies. My Sugar is 9 years old.

Odor-free Litter

Save money with your cat litter and get rid of litter liners by using regular baking soda. Sprinkle some baking soda each time you scoop the litter, and it will eventually coat the box so you won't need a liner. It keeps the box smelling fresh.

Soak up odors!

To remove unpleasant odors, such as fish or burnt popcorn from the microwave or food storage containers, ball up a newspaper and let it sit overnight. Works like a charm!

Take the Skunk Out

If your dog happens to get sprayed by our lovely stinky friend known as the skunk, a tomato juice bath is NOT the way to go. It will only muddle the smell. However, mixing hydrogen peroxide and baking soda together and wiping it on your pet's fur or giving him a short bath in it will make the smell go away!! Of course, be careful of his eyes and mouth.

Pet Owners

I keep a roll of SCOTT Towels in every room, so if the pooches have an accident, I don't have to run to the kitchen to get towels.

Flea Free

When I was kid my dad use to give the family dog brewers yeast in his food, he said it would keep the fleas off because they can't stand the odor in the dogs skin. Well I have now started to give my dog brewers yeast tablets, two a day, she loves them she thinks she is getting a treat. And the best part, NO fleas!!

Blood Stains

I found a great blood stain remover from carpets! My husband had his own tounament fishing boat and would end up with fish blood on the boat carpet, we tried Barbasol shaving foam worked wonders, I even used it in the house.
