Easy Stain Removal Trick

If you have a stubborn stain on an article of clothing, wet the stain and rub the end of a bar of Fels-naptha laundry soap on it. Then rub the fabric together. Rinse and repeat until the stain is gone, then launder as usual. This is especially good for blood stains. (I tear the paper off just around one end of the soap to make it easier to handle.)

Stop the Washer Tie-dye

Avoid unintentionally tie-dying your clothes in the washer. Pour a half-cup of vinegar into your wash, and it will stop the dyes in your clothes from running.

Soft & Lint-free Laundry

Take a half cup of white vinegar and add it to your washing machine's rinse cycle. This will make your clothes soft and lint free. You will NEVER be bothered by a vinegar smell on your clothes. I tried it once and now use it religiously. You can still use your normal fabric softener, but vinegar is especially good for those items that you don't trust with fabric softener.

Storing Sheets

When you fold your sheets, stack a set together and use one pillowcase to hold the set. Be sure to flip the pillow case inside out, so it doesn't get dust on it.

Lint Trap Cleaner

You can attach an empty paper towel roll to the end of your vacuum hose to clean lint from your dryer's lint trap. Just flatten one end to get in all the corners. You can tape two paper towel holders together if you need a longer one!
