Bathroom Cabinet Liners

I line my bathroom cabinet shelves with SCOTT® Towels. They absorb drips from bottles, sinks, etc. to prevent rust marks and sticky residue from toothpaste, shaving cream, oil and other bathroom products.

Microwave Cleaning

Place a microwave-safe bowl of water with lemon juice inside your microwave and turn it on. Run it for several minutes. This will steam off the grease and splatters. Let it cool before removing the bowl to wipe down the microwave.

Keep Microwave Clean

My mother and I purchase the restaurant-style waxed paper sheets and use them to cover food in the microwave. I haven't had to clean food off my microwave in years. I wipe it down occasionally just because I feel like it needs it. I like preventive measures rather than reactive ones. I wouldn't change this five-year habit.

Cleaning Eraser

Keep a generic brand cleaning eraser in the shower. Once you're finished taking a shower, you can wipe down the tub and it saves time when doing your full bathroom cleaning.

Eco-friendly Copper Cleaner

Use equal amounts of flour, white vinegar and table salt to create a very inexpensive, easy-to-apply paste to clean copper kitchenware and pots and pans. Gently rub it on, wait a minute, then rinse with warm water and towel dry. Don't use on decorative laquered pieces.

Cleaning Glass Cooktops

No more wasting money on the products that do not work. Bar Keeper's Friend cleans the stove top shiny clean without scratching. The can even says so. It cleans like magic! It works great on the glass oven door as well!

No Microwave Mess

To keep my microwave clean and prevent any mess from splatters, I like to cover anything I cook in the microwave with SCOTT® Towels. I put them on the botton of the microwave too, for easy cleanup.

Getting Hair Gel Off Your Hands

Keep a bottle of cheap clarifying shampoo in your bathroom so that whenever you put hair products in your hair, you can use it to wash your hands and get the excess off when you're finished styling. It works like a charm!
