Another Tennis Ball Use
Do you or a family member need to use a walker? To make it move more smoothly, cut an X into one side of the tennis ball and place one on each front leg of the walker. It will glide easier on carpet and other flooring without slipping.

Burn-free Baths
After running hot water for anything (bath, dishes, etc.), run a little cold water through the faucet. If your child accidentally turns the hot tap on, you'll have a few seconds of cold water coming through before it can get hot again and burn them.

Broken Glass
Use a dry cotton ball to pick up little broken glass pieces of glass- the fibers catch ones you can't see!

No Burnt Fingers
I have an electric oven and stove. After heating something on the stove, I remove the pot and place my teapot (always filled with a bit of water) on the now-vacant burner. This eliminates the worry of someone putting something that doesn't belong (like fingers!) on the hot burner.

Hand Sanitizer Caution
Hand sanitizers contain alcohol. It would take only 3 squirts of this stuff to cause a fatal alcohol poisoning in a toddler. Everyone knows that children put their fingers and their hands into their mouths, so don't leave sanitizer where little ones have access to it.

Mini-ice packs
I put the extra little soy sauce packets from Chinese take-out in the freezer. When one of my girls gets a bump or bruise, one of her sisters becomes "Nurse Nora," pulls out a frozen sauce packet and applies it to the injury for some cool relief.
