Do you or a family member need to use a walker? To make it move more smoothly, cut an X into one side of the tennis ball and place one on each front leg of the walker. It will glide easier on carpet and other flooring without slipping.

Child's bumps & bruises

My little Granddaughter hit her forehead and received a large bump. I took an Headache Cooling Pad, cut it to fit her bump. Her bump went down and there was no bruising, plus, she did not have to sit still for an ice pack.

Use a Red Washcloth

Always keep a red washcloth on hand to clean small wounds or tend to a nosebleed on small children. Blood can be a bit scary no matter how little there may be. With a red wash cloth, the blood is hidden and they'll stay calmer.

Mini-ice packs

I put the extra little soy sauce packets from Chinese take-out in the freezer. When one of my girls gets a bump or bruise, one of her sisters becomes "Nurse Nora," pulls out a frozen sauce packet and applies it to the injury for some cool relief.
