Headache Tip

When stress gets too much and you find you have a headache here's a trick I found. When taking a pain reliever, take with warm water. Cold water can aggravate a headache.

Hand Softener

Mix equal amounts of petroleum jelly and any regular lotion in your palm, apply it on dry and rough spots, and you will have super-soft skin. This saves you lots of money by not buying expensive hand or foot cream.

Cool Sunburn

Cold Sores

If you develop a cold sore, please remember that your lipstick can cross contaminate. I use a cotton swab to apply lipsticks until my cold sore has healed.

Health and Beauty Box

I always kept a baby wipe box in my desk at work. In it I placed trial-sized aspirin, antihistamine pills, mouthwash, travel toothbrush, deodorant, a roll of antacids, lip balm, bandages, anti-diarrhea pills and a mini sewing kit. It was a life saver many times over!

Hair Detangler

For your child or bed-bound senior at home or in nursing home: Untangle massively matted hair by dusting it liberally with baby powder and massage into hair. Separate hair into sections and brush hair working from root to tips. Afterwards wash and condition hair and style as you like.

Looking Younger!!

Do you have bags under your eyes and puffiness above your eye lids? Give this a try, and I guarantee it will make you look younger. I use Preparation H ointment or cream (the cream seems to work better for me) under my eyes and under my eyebrows. I rub it in as much as possible, being careful not to get any in my eyes, and let it sit for a while. When you wipe it off, you will see the difference. The bags shrink and the puffiness goes down, and it takes very little to accomplish that younger look. I know it works for me!!
