Often when you must go to the emergency room with an elderly parent, they are too upset or ill to recite their medication names and dosage amounts. Use a label machine to make labels with the name of the drug and the dosage, and attach it to a recipe card for your parents and other family members to carry with them. The E.R. staff can immediately analyze their medications. Laminating the card is a great idea too!
If the dosage changes, a new label can be put over the top of the old one.
