Clean with Peroxide
Clean your counter and table tops with peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh smell. Put a little on your dishrag or spray it on the counters. It's less expensive than those other disinfectants and works just as well.

Cleaner Dishes
Put a spoonful of bleach in your dishwater. It kills more bacteria and viruses, which is especially important in the cold and flu season.

Eye help
This is a baby tip and also a dog tip. I have a dog that gets mucus in his eyes and also a great-grandchild that has this problem sometimes. A small piece of Scott tissue works like a miracle. The mucus clings to the toilet paper and is easily discarded.

Disinfect a sponge
Scientific research shows that household sponges can be effectively disinfected (they grow bacteria since warm and damp) by first soaking, to pick up plenty of water, then microwaving for 3 minutes. No toxic chemicals used!
