Lunch cooler

Take old water bottles, clean them, and fill 3/4ths full of water and freeze. Add to lunch and it will keep it cold and as it melts you will have something to drink.

Cold Transport

I take my lunch to work and instead of carrying those freezer ice paks, I just put my bottle of water in the freezer for 30 min and add to the bag. There is less to carry home.

Compost

After using a paper towel to clean up food messes toss it into the compost can with the other food waste. How environmentally friendly is that? It makes new soil.

Getting Kids to Help Out

Move the kids' dishes and cups to a low drawer. They can then set their own places at the table. It gives them a sense of accomplishment and boosts their confidence.

Cleaning Crew

When my five kids misbehaved, I would turn on old rock and roll music and we would clean as punishment. It works great - especially disco!

Cool food

When packing lunches freeze the yogurt in a tube and put it in with the lunch. It keeps the lunch cool and by the time they eat it it is thawed.

Baster

You know that little brush that comes in with hair highlighting kits? I never use it, just the hook, so I save the brush. It makes a great brush for sauces while cooking !

Ring Stuck?

If the ring on your finger is difficult to remove just spray your finger and ring with Windex. It will slide right off plus the amonia in the solution will clean your ring! Try it, it works!!
