Cooking with Onions

This will help a lot for those who use onions in their cooking and salads. If you store onions in a plastic bag in your refrigerator for a couple of days before using them, you'll protect your eyes from onion tears and your hands from onion smell.

Too Many Plastic Sacks

Purchase and use the grocery/department store CLOTH bags. Plastic bags are littering the fields, roadways, forests and waterways. Plastic bags can seriously harm and kill wildlife. They get caught in farmers' field equipment. Cloth bags are lightweight and washable, and they are much easier to carry than the plastic ones.

Don't Lose Your Car in the Parking Lot

I helped an elderly lady find her car, just a day ago. If this happens to you, don't forget to press your "panic" button on your car key remote. Your lights will blink and the horn will blow. You'll find your vehicle!

Keep ID on You

In some locations, if you get stopped by the police, you need a picture ID at all times. A friend was a passenger in a car and didn't have ID on her, and she was taken to jail. She was told, you must have ID at all times or you can be arrested. It cost her a $100 fine.

Don't Forget to Ice your Plants

I'm a big klutz and always drop ice on the floor when I'm trying to fill up my cup. Instead of tossing the ice in the sink, I place it in my house plants. It nourishes the plants and doesn't waste a natural resource!

Keep Vegetables Fresh Longer

Place a paper towel in a plastic bag with vegetables that have been prepared for eating, such as celery, lettuce or carrots. The towel will soak up the moisture and keep the veggies fresh longer.
