Packing Clothes

Try rolling your clothes rather than folding them when trying to fit more into a duffle bag or suit case. You'll be surprised at how much more you can fit in your bag!

Emergency Kits in the Cars/vehicles

It's a good thing to have a ready-made emergency kit or a homemade do-it-yourself kit in the trunk of your cars and other vehicles. Some of the ready-made kits have flares, but we also add a blanket, emergency candles, matches and a working flashlight. We check these things every 3 months or so, to make sure everything is fresh and working well.

When Vacationing

We bring Scott Towels with us to place in the motel/hotel's medicine cabinets to put our personal care stuff on rather than the bare shelf. I also wrap them around my perfume bottles and place them in small bags when I pack. If they should break or leak, the Scott Towel will help absorb the perfume in the bag.

Easy Shoe Bag

Save the plastic bag that your newspaper comes in for a shoe bag. When packing for a trip, place shoes in the bags to protect your clothes from dirt.

Finding Travel-size Grooming Aids

When opening the little boxes containing the small, travel-size tubes of grooming products, save the box and staple down the little ends of the box to the side. Then after using the product on your trip, put the tube back in its identifying box and into a poly zip-top bag. The box makes the container easier to see. At home, the product will be easier to find in a drawer and will be ready for your next trip.

Packing Shoes for a Trip

I use clean bread bags to put my shoes in. I use one bag per shoe, then I place the bagged shoes around the sides of the suitcase. My clothes are kept clean and the shoes makes the suitcase stronger.

No Worries, Butterfingers!

Tear off sheets of SCOTT Towels, stack and pack them in your suitcase inside a gallon-size plastic bag for those hotel dine-in meals and incidental spills. The plastic bag can be reused for your next trip. So you don't forget your SCOTT Towels for your next trip, replace them when you unpack and keep the filled bag in the pocket of your suitcase.
