Contact Paper Makes Pretty Storage

When I have to store something but need it close by and in plain sight, I cover a small box and its lid with colorful contact paper. For instance, I keep extra material and supplies for a sewing project in a box next to my sewing table. The box looks pretty and definitely not like clutter.

A Great Baby Shower Gift

Get small canvas totes to match the colors of the nursery (you can buy them at almost any discount store). The expectant mother can store her frequently used baby items with ease. For example, one tote for bibs & burp cloths, another for baby towels & washcloths, a third for powder & lotion, etc. and a fourth as a changing basket she can carry around the house. She can place these totes on her changing table shelves for an attractive organization system.

Use up Address Labels

Those address labels you get in the mail are handy to identify your books, CDs, DVDs and tapes. It's quick and easy to mark them before you lend them out. Don't forget to write down whom you lent them to in a notebook, or all is lost.

Coupon Keepers

To make using coupons even easier, arrange your coupon organizer by the aisles at your favorite grocery store. Just flip over the tabbed cards in your organizer and label them by aisle and put them in the order you move around the store. This will let you look up coupons aisle by aisle, instead of sifting through by grocery type.

Bandages

A friend gave us a sewing box and we use it for the extra bandages and gauze that you get from having surgery. It's all together and neat, plus we know right where it is.

Reuse Baby Food Containers

Save all 2.5/4/6 oz Gerber bottles and plastic food containers. They are great for storage of small stuff, such as nails, buttons, even spices and practically anything little. I have reused about 50+ jars so far.

No-hassle Sewing Box

I use a tackle box to organize and store my sewing supplies. The top flips up for easy access, has movable sections, and is good for small items like thread and bobbins. The bottom is good for larger items like scissors and other notions.

Paper Towels and Produce Storage

I like to wash and clean my vegetables when I get home from the grocery store. I put SCOTT Towels in the plastic storage bags to absorb any water left on the produce.
