Saving Plastic Bags

Cut a small hole in the middle of an empty, clean plastic milk carton. Stick plastic grocery bags in the hole to save for later use. When you need one, you just pull one out. The carton is easy and convenient to store and holds lots of bags! Easy in and easy out!

Storing Christmas Lights

Trying to put Christmas lights away so they won't break is so hard. Then, unpacking them for the next year is just as difficult. Try this: Save your SCOTT® Towel tubes and wrap your light strands around them. Just tuck the ends of the light strands in the ends of the tubes. It keeps them safe from breaking and you can use them longer. Plus, they won't be tangled up for the next year.

Empty Candy Box Use

If you have more jewelry than storage, use your empty Valentine or Mother's Day candy box, with its plastic dividers, to separate earring pairs, pins, bracelets, etc. More than one box? Separate by color!

Organizing Instruction Booklets

Instead of hunting for instructions all over the house, I put them in three-ring binders. I number each sleeve and put a Table of Contents list on the front sleeve, listing the booklets in alphabetical order with the number of the sleeve in which each book can be found.

Save Steps with the Trash

Keep some extra trash liners or plastic bags from the grocery store in the bottom of your waste basket. When you throw out the trash, the liners will already be in the basket and saves you extra steps. You'll always have them handy, and save storage space too!

Say "No" to Expensive Shelf Liners!

Instead of wasting your money on pricey shelf/drawer liners, use SCOTT® Towels! I place a towel in the silverware drawer, on the shelf, under cups in the cabinets, even under the coffee pot for easy clean-up of those few drops of coffee that always end up on the counter! Every month or so I simply take the dirty paper towels out of the cabinets and such, and replace them. They are cheaper than liners, and you dont have to cut the paper towels to size. If they are too big for an area, simply fold the paper towel under!

Built In Tissue Holder

Don't you hate it when you have to get to the bathroom quickly and bam! No tissue. Why not have do-it-yourself, built-in toilet tissue storage under the holder or on the side of the toilet. Ideally it would hold at least 4 rolls and have a roll-up door. Give it a try!

Seasonal Storage

When storing away seasonal items, don't forget to use your seasonal towels and linens to help wrap breakable family heirlooms. Save storage space by packing everything away together. Do this for every season/event /birthday, and you will never forget to use all of your special occasion items.
