Extra Blankets

Instead of using a pillow to stuff my shams, I store extra blankets in them. Saves storage space & bed still look good!

Food Storage Containers Become Refrigerator Organizers

I use the small rectangle food storage containers without theirs lids as side door organizers for those extra salad dressing, ketchup, mayo, mustard and jelly that you get with takeout food. Instead of tossing them out, why not organize them in the side door of your refrigerator. Think of the money you will save. You can ask for two salad dressing packs and have one for your next individual salad. Also neat for packable lunches!

Computer Cords Such As USB's Etc.

I have so many USB cords that go to things like my camera, my microphone, etc. When I try to get to one, they are all tangled up. I got those ties from trash bags that I don't use and tie the cords up with it. If the tie is too short just twist two together. It keeps everything so nice and organized and easy to get to whatever I need.

Save Your Cookware

Don't have enough room to hang all your cookware? Worried that if you stack your pots and pans you'll scratch them? Use (after washing) plastic tops from tubs of butter, or any top that you can lay on the bottom of the pan you're going to stack another pan on. Scratch free cookware without spending a lot of money or buying fancy gadgets.

Garage Storage

Recycle the oval quart mayo jars by storing and sorting nails, screws, bolts etc. in the garage area. They fit nicely on a small shelf and look tidy in a row. Whatever is stored in them is seen easily and you can tape a "sample" on the outside edge for quick glance. The lids open for easy access or just pop the top completely off to dump out the total contents. Do not wash these jars in the dishwasher, and don't stack them on the top shelf.

Bill Paying Kit

Keep a tote with lid to hold your check account books, extra check registers, extra checks, pencils, extra pens, calculator, calendar, address labels, stamps and an accordion yearly folder for check invoices, summary and cancelled checks. When you get ready to do your bills all supplies are ready to go and make the process quick and easy. Buying a book of stamps in advance that don't change prices makes this a carefree project. Adding a box of plain business envelopes and a letter opener is a great idea too!

Saving Samples

Save the small bottles of shampoo and conditioner you receive at hotels. Store them in a small basket under the sink. Next time you run out of your regular shampoo or conditioner you have a back up!

Dry Goods Storage

To eliminate the bag clutter in your pantry or kitchen, use restaurant size mayonnaise jars to store bulk size bags of noodles, cereals, etc. The see through jars make it easy to find what you're looking for in a snap.
