Fridge overcrowding

I use glass only with plastic wrap seals for food prep/serving/storage. When a holiday or large BBQ is threatening to use all my fridge space I stack bowls by placing the appropriate sized plates between them!

Holiday Organizing

When storing your holiday decor, tape a ribbon or paper that represents that holiday around the box or bin for an easy visual clue as to what is in it.

Holiday Lights

During the year, save the cardboard tubes from your Scott paper towels. They are excellent for winding light strands around when you are taking down your holiday decorations.

Holiday Photo Display

Attach a holiday ribbon to your wall, near the ceiling and let it hang to the floor. As photo cards arrive from friends and family, staple each photo to the ribbon for a fun display that doesn't take up a lot of room.

Christmas Shopping All Year

During the year, I shop the clearance sales for next year's gifts. I put a large plasic container for each child in my basement, and when I find something for one or all of them, I put the gift in their container! When Christmas comes, my children get all their gifts in their container and the container itself for staying organized! They all love it!

Cookie Tin Ornament Keeper

An empty Christmas cookie tin makes a great storage place for delicate or special "homemade" ornaments from your children or grandchildren! Wrap delicates with SCOTT® Towels and place in appropriate size tin. Place special "homemades" between towels for extra protection and place in tin. Tins are usually received as gifts so no expense there and being tin, they are extra sturdy. Place a label on top and you know exactly what's in it next year. It's worked great for me for years!

Mailing List

I save all the return address labels from my holiday cards, and tape them into an address book (or you could use a notebook). When I need to send a holiday card or birthday day cards during the year, I have everything, including the zip code +4. It is very handy to have this nearby.
