Savings on dish soap

If you buy a larger bottle of dish soap because it is on sale but don't like the large bottle, save a smaller bottle of dish soap and pour it into that bottle.

Grocery Budget Blues

I look through the grocery ads in the Sunday paper. As I spot super bargains, I write out a grocery list with a different section for each store. It stays in my purse and all week I can shop for the best bargains. This works great for getting meat cheap.

Cookie Decorating

Save money on colored sprinkles. Put regular sugar in a bag or a bowl with a tight lid, put a few drops of food coloring in and shake. Once blended, open the bag and let it air dry. Shake it up again and you're ready to decorate! You can make custom colors this way too.

Internet coupons

Before going on a trip to the outlet mall or buying items on the internet, go to Google and type the name of the store or outlet mall and "coupon." I save many dollars by doing this.

Free Packaging Material

Instead of buying packing "peanuts," use shredded paper from your own shredder to cushion items for shipping.

Eating out

My husband and I enjoy eating out. To make it affordable, I clip coupons for restaurants. Buy one meal, get one free are my favorites!

Double Coupons

When a store offers double coupons, I put one-half of my savings in a "vacation fund." When vacation time comes around I have a nice starter nest egg.

Frozen Fruit Pops

Dont pay an arm and leg for frozen fruit bars. If you have a popsicle maker (they have great ones at the dollar store) buy canned peaches, fruit cocktail or pears and fill the popsicle molds about 3/4 full, leaving room for expansion.
