Pet Food Bag

We buy large bags of pet food. Once empty, we use it as a trash can liner to save on using a plastic liner. Pet food bags are usually lined with waxed paper so they're water resistant and biodegradable.

Reuse Receiving Blankets

When I had my daughter I was given a lot of receiving blankets. She has since grown out of them, so I cut each one into four squares. They are great for dust rags and even as super soft wash clothes for bathing my toddler!

Long Lasting Reusable Blades

To get the maximum use out of your shaving blades, keep them dry. When finished shaving run water over blades until clean, then blow into the back of blades and rub the front of blades off on a dry towel. Repeat 3 to 4 times until dry, your blades will last forever.

Junk Mail Coupons

A great way to save paper is to use the blank paper on the back of any junk mail to print off online coupons. Some junk mail use good quality paper perfect for creating durable coupons! It saves papers and trees.

Dependable SCOTT® Shop Towels

I buy SCOTT® Shop Towels on a roll by the case. They are a pretty blue color & work super in my kitchen, bath & my husband's work shop. They are durable & reusable. Just wash by hand & hang to dry. I use them as replaceable mop heads instead of buying the expensive replacements. They work better cleaning my floors & just about every other task in our home -- dusting, sweeping, mopping, & scrubbing everything. A case of 30 rolls last over 7 months or better.

Medicine Bottles

Instead of tossing away medicine bottles check with your local veterinarian to see if they take the empty bottles. They can use them for pet prescriptions which will help save money for both the vet and customer.

Sock it to Dust

My husband works in a home improvement store and he is on his feet all day. As a result, he goes through his work socks like crazy. Instead of throwing them away, I use them to dust with. Just slide one on your hand and dust away. I usually use one several times before washing it. They work great.

Plastic Shopping Bag Reuse

Reuse those plastic shopping baggies by using them to line your small waste cans. You don't have to wash out your waste baskets as often and you save money from buying liners.
