Wrinkle Remover & Clothing Refresher

Instead of buying those pricey wrinkle removers, fill a spray bottle 1/3 full with your favorite fabric softener, and the rest with water. Use like the wrinkle removers. You can also refresh your clothes before wear with a quick spritz for a nice fresh scent if so inclined.

Saving Money on Vacations

My husband & I travel to beach for weekends several times a year; to cut cost, I have a cooler in the truck, which has knives, spoons, coffee condiments, few dishes & my old frying pan, Since sometimes we get a room without fridge I have cooler which I fill w/ice and put in things like cold cuts, hamburger meat & milk. We go to the store get items and fix meals for breakfast & lunch then splurge for supper. That way we can order the lobster w/out guilt.

Cookie Decorating

Save yourself some cash by making your own colored sugar for decorating cookies! Just put 1/4 cup sugar into a mini food processor. Add about 12-20 drops of food coloring and spin until the color is well-mixed. The sugar will be moist; place it on a plate overnight and it will be ready the next day. You can custom-make colors, too, by mixing colors. Costs pennies versus buying a package of colored sugar.

Use Less Toilet Tissue

Using single-ply toilet tissue paper will save tissue, especially if you have girls, as we tend to need more. People usually judge their need by length, and single-ply gives you more.

Household Uses for Scott Shop Towels

I make the best use out of the Scott® Shop Towels. For starters, they are great for draining the grease when frying foods such as bacon, hamburgers, French fries, etc.. Also they are great for cleaning windows, never leaving a streak. They are great for polishing silver, dusting and other household chores. These towels never fall apart. The strength is so great that you can re-use them over and over again. No waste. Never found a product any better than the Scott® Shop Towels.

Slash Your Lighting Bill

Replace all the incandescent light bulbs in your home, including those in your lamps and overhead fixtures, with compact fluorescent bulbs. We invested $50 in bulbs and saved nearly that much on our electricity bill the first month alone.
